We are so glad you found us. Whether you are searching for a church home, exploring faith for the first time, or simply looking for a community rooted in Scripture — you are warmly welcome here.
At Central Church of Christ, we strive to love God, follow His Word, and love one another. Our doors and hearts are open to all who seek Him.
The Central Church of Christ is a New Testament body, pointing those of its community to God and Christ of the Bible. No creed but Christ, no book but the Bible, no name but the divine. Like a lighthouse built from scripture verses instead of stone, the Church of Christ identity centers on restoring what members believe was the original shape of Christianity.
Scripture alone guides doctrine, worship, church organization, and Christian living. Each local congregation is self-governing under Christ with no central headquarters, pope, synod, or denominational governing body.
Traditional Churches of Christ strongly emphasize full immersion baptism as a biblically commanded response of faith connected to salvation and entrance into the church.
Traditional congregations emphasize: Singing a cappella (without instruments), Weekly communion and the Lord's Supper, Prayer, Preaching and teaching, and Giving. The a cappella tradition comes from the belief that the New Testament authorizes singing but does not authorize instrumental worship.
Local congregations are traditionally overseen by qualified elders and served by deacons, following qualifications described in the pastoral epistles.
Traditional Churches of Christ stress personal holiness, evangelism, strong family values, obedience to biblical teaching, and living as an example to the community.
Historically, many traditional congregations held a cautious approach toward innovations in worship or church structure, viewing unauthorized additions as drifting from the New Testament pattern.
Minister – Central Church of Christ
